So, you're stuck on Shoring Up Defenses in Arc Raiders? Don't sweat it. It's one of those quests that looks easy on paper but gets annoying fast once you're out in the field. You've gotta take down five Wasps and three Fireflies to start. Wasps are basically target practice, though they move a bit jerky and can be hard to lead. Fireflies? They're a different beast entirely. They're chunkier and hit way harder than the smaller drones. If you've got a solid ARC Raiders Legendary Weapon in your loadout, those Fireflies go down way faster than with basic gear. Aim for the propellers to knock 'em out of the sky before they pin you down. You don't need to finish everything in one go, so take your time and focus on the kills first.
Finding Arc Alloy for the CraneLooting is the part everyone forgets, and it's the biggest time-waster if you mess up. You need an Arc Alloy to fix the raider structure way up on the Stacking Yard crane. You get these alloys from the scraps of dead ARC units you've just blasted. Don't just kill 'em and run off—grab the loot. Once you've got the alloy tucked away, head over to the Stacking Yard. There are three massive cranes dominating the skyline there. I usually go for the middle one because the climb feels a bit more straightforward and less exposed to snipers. Get to the top, find that little metal shack, and patch it up. It's a long way up, so watch your step while you're climbing those yellow ladders.
Boarding up Hotel Panorama AzzurroNext stop is the Hotel Panorama Azzurro. This bit is actually pretty chill compared to the crane climb, but you've still gotta be careful of patrols in the area. You're looking for a specific shuttered window on the second floor of the building. Most players have the best luck in Room 213. You don't need any special materials for this part, which is a nice break after hunting for that alloy. Just walk up and hold the interact button for a few seconds to get the boards in place. Just make sure the coast is clear before you start, 'cause you're a sitting duck while you're boarding it up. Once the animation finishes, you'll see the quest tracker finally update.
Wrapping things up and getting paidAfter you've ticked everything off your list, head back to Apollo to turn it in. The rewards are actually worth the hassle this time around. You'll get Barricade Kits, Lure Grenade Traps, and some Seeker Grenades that'll help in your next scrap. If you're ever struggling with gear or just want to skip the grind for specific supplies, you can always check out U4GM to buy game currency or items. It's a lifesaver when you're tired of farming the same spots over and over and just want to get back into the action. Just make sure you extract safely after finishing the objectives. There's nothing worse than finishing a tough quest and then losing it all to a random patrol on the way out.
