Booting up Forza Horizon 6 feels less like starting a racer and more like walking into a packed Sunday car meet where every row has something you want to drive. The launch garage is huge, with more than 550 vehicles floating around through standard access, rewards, events, and hidden discoveries. The public-facing Autoshow list gives you plenty to buy right away, but the full spread of FH6 Cars goes much deeper once you start digging into playlists, loyalty bonuses, DLC, and the odd surprise tucked away off the main road.
Japan gives the garage its own pulseThe move to Japan changes the whole mood of the car list. It's not just a new map with different scenery. The roads make certain cars feel like they belong there. A Silvia on a mountain pass. An old Supra under city lights. A Civic Type R being pushed through tight corners where power alone won't save you. Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi, and Subaru all get proper attention, and that matters. Players who grew up watching tuner DVDs or messing around with import builds are going to notice the little choices. The game seems to understand why these cars became cult favourites in the first place.
Collecting isn't just about buying everythingThe best change is that the game doesn't make the Autoshow the only place that matters. Sure, you'll still spend credits there, and you'll still stare at prices while wondering what to grab next. But a lot of the fun comes from the new Mei's Photo System. You're given visual clues, then sent out to hunt down Treasure Cars across the map. It slows you down in a good way. Instead of jumping from race to race, you start reading the landscape, checking landmarks, and taking detours because something looks a bit suspicious. That kind of collecting feels far more personal.
Loyalty rewards give veterans a head startLong-time Horizon players aren't left empty-handed either. Legacy Save rewards kick in after the opening stretch, handing out cars tied to earlier games in the series. It's a smart touch. If you've spent years building garages across different Horizon entries, getting something like a Lamborghini Centenario or a Corvette E-Ray early on feels earned rather than random. New players won't be locked out of the experience, but returning fans get that little nod, that "yeah, we remember you" moment. It makes the first few hours feel warmer, especially before the serious credit grind begins.
DLC and rare cars keep the chase movingThe launch packs add another layer for people who want the full garage, not just a strong one. The Italian Passion pack leans into style and history, while the Time Attack pack is aimed at players who'd rather have stripped-out, track-ready machines than showroom queens. Event cars are going to be just as important, especially through the Festival Playlist, where missing a week can sting. Promotional models, including oddball specials like the Fanta Edition Toyota Sports 800, give collectors something to talk about. If you're planning every unlock route or looking around for cheap Forza Horizon 6 Cars to fill gaps faster, the real appeal is the same as ever: there's always one more car worth chasing.
